500 Books

The sixth grade class had a goal to read 500 books this school year. Although this was very challenging , the class met their goal today! They worked very hard and gave up other privileges in order to meet the goal. I am so proud of them! As a reward, the class will get to have a water party complete with slip and slides and water balloons tomorrow. Please join me in congratulating this accomplishment!

The seventh graders are beginning a study of Asia and its various religions.  The eighth graders continue to work the Enlightenment and different composers during this time.  Ninth graders are ending World War II and Europe.  The tenth graders continue with their study of the Civil War focusing on the Battles of Gettysburg and Vicksburg.  The eleventh graders are studying the period from the 1960’s thru 2017.  The twelfth grades are finishing their year with a study of the economics of global markets. Our seniors have been very busy finishing up their last few weeks before graduation! They will soon be taking cap and gown pictures and receiving invitations to send in the mail. It is important that each senior pay close attention to grades and financial obligations at this point in the school year. Both are imperative to finishing out their high-school career. Chambers Academy Baseball

The regular season is winding down for the Rebels Varsity and JV baseball teams. Both teams have had very successful seasons so far. The varsity squad is currently 16-8 and have clinched a first round home playoff game or a bye to the second round. The junior varsity team picked up a big win on Monday over Cornerstone.   Senior Day will be Monday, April 17. Both the varsity and junior varsity will be playing Coosa Valley starting at4:00.
